LAMS will be sponsoring a foray in the Santa Monica Mountains to collect specimens for display at the  Los Angeles Mycological Society Wild Mushroom Fair.  The public is invited to participate.

We regret that we are unable to offer the foray on Saturday, but if you can take the day off this will be a worthwhile event.  Participation in this foray will be limited, so you must first contact foray leader, Florence Nishida, no later than 5 PM on Wednesday, February 10 to obtain the location and directions for the foray. You can leave a phone message at 310-455-2231 or send an email message to the foray leader.

Leader: Florence Nishida: 310-455-2231, <florence.nishida(at)gmail.com>---please replace "(at)" with @  For fastest response, please make sure the word "foray" appears in the subject line of your message.

AS USUAL ON ALL FORAYS, BRING A SNACK OR LUNCH, WATER, AND WARM CLOTHING, TO THE FORAY. Bring waxed paper, not plastic bags (for specimens) and a collecting basket, box or sturdy paper bag.

The primary purpose of the foray is to COLLECT MUSHROOMS FOR DISPLAY AT THE FAIR. This includes edible species too! If you are not going immediately to the fair location at the end of your foray, please give your specimens to the foray leader or someone she designates who will be taking them to the Fair.
