Admission to the Paul Stamets lecture will be by advance ticket sale ONLY.  Tickets are $21 per person.  Seats are still available and tickets will be for sale at the Mushroom Fair on February 14.

Mr. Stamets' presentation is a benefit fundraiser for the Los Angeles Mycological Society.  LAMS is a 501c(3) non-profit organization and ticket purchases are considered donations to LAMS and are therefore deductible to the extent permitted by law.  Please consult your tax advisor.

Copies of Paul Stamets' books will be for sale at the Mushroom Fair.  Mr. Stamets will also be available for book signing.

 

Fair Schedule (subject to revision)

10:00 Fair opens. Arboretum Mushroom Walk with mycologist Florence Nishida (recent rains should make this a special treat)

11: 30 Oyster Mushroom Growing Demonstration (Fair visitors will have the opportunity to take home their own Oyster Mushroom kit for a nominal charge.)

12 Noon Cooking Demonstration

1:00 Oyster Mushroom Growing Demonstration (Fair visitors will have the opportunity to take home their own Oyster Mushroom kit for a nominal charge.)

2:00 Keynote Speaker: Paul Stamets

“Mycoremediation, How Mushrooms Can Save the Planet”

 

 Two mushroom walks or "forays" will be held before the Mushroom Fair to collect Wild Mushrooms for display at the Fair.  The public is welcome to participate in the forays.

*Admission to the Arboretum is $8 for adults, $6 for seniors (62 and over), $6 for students with ID, and $3 for children 5- 12. Children under 5 are admitted free.  Arboretum members are admitted free. Parking is free.
